OUR DRY PRODUCTS
Our Dry Products have been sourced extremely carefully to ensure the cleanest and best quality possible, after all they are for our dogs too. In order to bring the best products and the best range to you and your dogs we first have them tested by our best people (or in this case our doggies), if they pass the test and are given the paws of approval they join our ever growing range of great products. All our Dry Products are Air Dried, Un-preserved and Un-treated...we hope your doggies enjoy them as much as ours dogs do =)
AUSTRALIAN PIGS EARS Air dried Aussie Pigs Ears. Pigs Ears contain approximately 30% fat so they are recommended for medium to large dogs, or for smaller dogs feed one ear over a longer period of time. Great for dental hygiene and to keep them a 'little' busy. When buying pigs ears if they don't state that they are 'Australian' they will be ears from overseas, these ears are always cheaper and more transparent, they have been treated for bacteria before entering the country then preserved for longevity, it is fair to assume that any nutritional quality has been destroyed during this process.
AUSTRALIAN PIGS EAR STRIPS Air dried Aussie Pigs Ears stripped into smaller pieces. These are perfect for smaller dogs so the fat content can be reduced and/or portion sizes can be monitored.
These are also good for larger dogs too if you want to give a little, more often.
ROO STICKS A lean treat, Roo containing as little as 3% fat and with the most readily available protein for dogs over other meats. Roo Sticks are air dried and rolled, they can be broken into whatever size is needed so they are suitable for all dog sizes. No fillers or preservatives We have found these perfect for making a cut down the middle and hiding tablets in. As roo is also high in zinc and iron, if you doggie does not have roo in their daily diet it is advisable to give them a little at a time, this allows the gut to adjust and your doggie can enjoy the most nutritional treat to its fullest.
CHICKEN STICKS Chicken Sticks are air dried and rolled, they can be broken into whatever size is needed so they are suitable for all dog sizes.
These sticks are 100% chicken meat, no fillers and no preservatives.
ROO BONES (smoked) A lean bone that your doggies should enjoy over a couple of days (depending on size of dog of course), it will keep them busy for longer.
It is always safer to choose an appropriate size bone for your dog. Roo bones are one of the harder bones, they are great for dental hygiene and help with digestion. Please see our 'Doggie-lution' page for more information on feeding bones.
ROO LIVER Organ meats are an important nutritional component for you doggie, and our Roo Liver is a great way of incorporating organ meat in a dried form that can be used in several different ways. We prefer the Lamb and Roo simply due to the more natural grazing habits of these animals compared to beef. Break into smaller pieces and use for rewarding, great for training or carrying whilst walking, also great to mix into meals to tempt 'pickie' eaters.
LAMB EARS A smaller ear for the smaller doggies, lower fat than pigs ears. More popular among the doggies that are happy to eat anything.
VENISON EARS A low fat option to pigs ears, with 3% natural oil, venison is the most nutritionally equivalent to Kangaroo. Great for medium to larger dogs especially good for those that are prone to put on weight by just looking at their food.
ROO TAIL A meaty bone. With lots of ridges on several vertebrae bones the roo tail is more about picking the meat off the bone, and with the ridges this keeps a doggie very busy.
It can be a messy treat so best eaten outside. Approximately 20cms
SHARK CARTILAGE 'SHARKY' A chewy treat followed by a crunchy 'powdery' bone. 100% Australian. High in Omega 3 fatty acids. All natural, contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
BEEF HOOVES For the medium to large dogs. Just as hard if not harder than some bones this is something that has most dogs stumped, some customers dogs can munch on these little beauties from as long as 3-4days to 3-4weeks or more (depending on the individual dogs chewing habits of course). Definitely worth a try if you've got a bigger dog and would like something different.
FIDOS SHAMPOO CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE Baking Soda and Oatmeal
A soap free and chemical free shampoo. Oatmeal is soothing for the skin and baking soda removes odour. Soap in shampoos sit on the dogs skin therefore trapping their natural oils, this causes that 'doggie' smell, it also causes their fur to dry out as the oils are a natural moisturiser. Chemicals can irritate dogs very quickly as it enters through the hair follicle and into the bloodstream in under 30seconds. This is why dogs roll around on the ground only moments after a bath, to relieve the irritation to the skin. We have been using this shampoo on our doggies for 4-5years now and in the last 3years have been using it on our horse who suffers from the Queensland Itch, it is the best thing we have ever used on all of our four legged family members. And we just love this product so much it had to be a part of our range.
